The focus of my week and weekend was helping my sister find a new place to live and I am glad that we were able to succeed in the task. My sister had a major stroke and her cognitive functions and memory were compromised. Therefore, I must assist her with handling her affairs and navigating certain complicated tasks in her life. She lives in an assisted-living facility and it has not been going well for her over the past year. We decided together that she needed to move and started looking about a month ago. This past week we found the new assisted-living facility that we think she will be better suited to and feel a sense of community while living there. We are excited about the new place and over the weekend my daughter and I did my sister’s hair to add a little more joy to her week.
