Everyone always remembers to check the batteries in the smoke detector. We’ve had it drilled in at such a young age that the smoke detector is a must in every home. What many people forget, is Carbon Monoxide. Carbon Monoxide, or CO, is a colorless, odorless gas that causes poisoning and death in a few short hours. It’s impossible to self-detect CO and therefore the fatality rate is quite high. Installing a carbon monoxide alarm in one’s home can detect minute traces of carbon monoxide in the air. Just like the smoke detector, once installed, don’t forget to check the batteries!
